Unfortunately, I have really bad scoliosis and I need to be very careful to always be conscious of my back. When i am working I always need to choose an ergonomic chair instead of a leather office chair or desk chairs. I have had to spend a lot of money to make sure that my chairs are the best.
i have also had to go to physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Everywhere I went they told me about the importance of having an ergonomic chair. A leather office chair or desk chairs often look nice but they are not designed well for your back.Sometimes even they can be comfortable, but ultimately, they are not good for you.
My back hurts all the time- even when i use my ergonomic chair. I am often tempted by a cushy leather office chair because it is definitely more attractive and also seems like it would be nice to sit in. Desk chairs, on the other hand are not appealing at all.
For my scoliosis, I also have to wear supportive shoes and sleep on a special bed. When I go to physiotherapy they tell me all about the special care that I need to take so that my condition does not get worse as I get older. I was told as a child that I had slight scoliosis but sadly, it has gotten worse over the years. I hate the idea that I am getting older and my body is not strong and straight like it used to be. That is why I work very hard- exercising, eating right and making sure to sit in the right kind of chair.
3My employees needed new chairs, so I obliged
I am the director of purchasing at my place of employment, so I order all the materials for my plant. That includes everything from paper clips to the desk chairs that we sit in. One day I was sitting in my leather office chair when one of my employees came into my office with a complaint. Apparently many of the employees were complaining that the desk chairs they had just were not comfortable enough for the amount of time they were at their desks.
I listened intently to the employee’s complaint and his request for me to order everyone new a leather office chair like mine. I hadn’t picked out my own chair, but I knew that it would cost way too much money to get everyone that worked in my office a new leather office chair. I told the employee this, so he suggested that I at least look for a more ergonomic chair that our company could afford to buy for the entire office.
I started to look through countless chair magazines but to buy an ergonomic chair for the entire office just wasn’t looking like it was in the company’s budget. I kept looking though as I wanted to get my office new desk chairs, and that’s when I came across it. One of the stores that we bought supplies from had an offer where you could buy one ergonomic chair and get the second chair half price after a mail in rebate. I was able to get all of my employees nice ergonomic chairs and save the company a lot of money.
