Sally and Brian had been married for only two years. Sally worked from home while Brian had an office job downtown. One day as Sally was tidying up she noticed that Brian’s den at home didn’t have an ergonomic chair. Sally wondered why because she knew her husband used an ergonomic chair at work, even though right in front of her sat a plain leather office chair. Sally was always an impatient person so instead of waiting to ask Brian she decided to just go out and buy him an ergonomic chair and surprise him when he got home. Excited Sally rolled the leather office chair out to the curb and threw it away. Sally grabbed her keys and drove to the new store in town that specialized in desk chairs. Walking into the store sally saw a variety of furniture and desk chairs across the showroom floor. Sally found the perfect chair and purchased it on the spot. Later that night Brian came home and was puzzled as his leather office chair was gone from the den. Asking Sally is she knew where it was, Sally was giddy with excitement. “Of course, I threw it away this morning!” she squealed with delight. Brian looked shocked and felt faint. He didn’t understand why she would do this. Sally explained and Brian looked even more shocked. “What’s wrong?” she asked. “Where did you buy the new chair?” Brian answered. Sally explained that she had gone to that new store that had all the desk chairs for sale. “You mean the one over by the river? The one I just bought a new chair from today?” Brian replied. Now it was Sally who looked faint.
