Currently, a new trend is emerging in desk chairs for office. The trend is that office dwellers are purchasing an ergonomic chair; rather than the more common leather office chair that was a hallmark of office furniture since their inception. While recently an ergonomic chair is becoming more commonplace as more office users use computer and require the precautions against computer injuries that an ergonomic chair gives them. Even though ergonomic chairs are newer, you can still purchase a leather office chair that is also ergonomic as nearly every office chair being made is ergonomic. The reason for this sudden switch is that office users spend nearly all of their day on computers, rather than writing with pen and pencil as was commonplace in the past. Then, the office dwellers are concerned about injuries that can result from not having ergonomic desk chairs such as metacarpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion cyst, tendonitis, cervical radiculopathy, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, and epicondylitis. The good news is that there is a wide range of the common leather office chair that are ergonomically designed desk chairs for the twenty-first century office dwellers. Leather office chairs offer comfort, familiarity, style and luxury for office dwellers. It is only an added benefit if they are ergonomically designed as you will most likely purchase a leather office chair anyway.
