My office is a pretty tight space. When I sit so my computer is in front of me, my printer is to my left. Additionally, I have a lot of reference books I use that are located to my right. During the day, I use the printer at least 20 times and grab reference books even more. Because of this, I turn to my right and left an insane amount of times each day and my back gets aggravated. My old executive office chair was comfortable and had nice features. I loved its lumbar support and nice arm rests, but it didn’t turn at all. On top of that, the arm rests would always get in the way. I tried bringing in the desk chair at my home office because it didn’t have arm rests but that didn’t really help.

One of my friends suggested that I look into getting a swivel chair. I was surprised when he said that it actually improved his productivity. It was hard for me to believe that a swivel chair could make me work better. After a couple weeks, though, I decided to give it a try. I went to a local office supplies store and found a good deal and brought it back to my office. It has been more than a month now since I bought my swivel chair and I am happy to say that not only do I have improved productivity, but my back doesn’t hurt anymore!
