I also bought my receptionist a desk chair . Her job is to sit behind her desk and greet visitors as well as to answer the phone. The desk chair I bought for her has a high ergonomically designed back and plush leather seat. She can now work for hours without needing to get up and stretch her back. Finally, her time at work is spent mostly behind her desk rather than in relieving the stress brought about by sitting for long periods of time.
Working from my swivel chair , I also can spend more time at my work and need fewer breaks to relieve the muscle tension of sitting for extended periods of time. A swivel chair is really the perfect chair for an executive who actually works in his office both at his desk and on his computer and other information gathering data machines. Moving from side to side and being able to turn around makes the chair a functioning part of my body. There is no need to scrape the floor with the chair’s legs or have to push back to get out of the chair and leave. It is a physical labor saving seat and also looks great in my office.
