I bought my husband a really nice ergonomic chair, but I don’t think he liked the thing. He’s always been especially fond of this leather office chair that I purchased for him years ago, and he’s not the sort to change desk chairs constantly. He finds one good chair, and he sticks with it through thick and thin.

I should have realized he would be that way, and if I had, I wouldn’t have bought the ergonomic chair. He always talks about how much he loves that leather office chair, and I was just thinking that maybe it was getting old. I figured it was time for him to get a new chair, but he still loves his old chair just as much as ever. I wish he wasn’t so particular about desk chairs, but that’s just the way he is, and there’s no way to change him.

Maybe we can go shopping together, and he can try out chairs himself. If I had thought things through carefully, that’s what I would have done. Then I would have found something that he likes as much as the leather office chair, instead of this ergonomic chair. There is still plenty of time to take it back, and there are tons of desk chairs to choose from at the store, so if we go together, I’m sure we can find something that’s much more appropriate.

When I started work at my job they put me in a tiny cubicle with a very uncomfortable leather office chair. Out of all the desk chairs I’ve ever sat in the ergonomic chair is my favorite. I asked my boss if it would be OK for me to upgrade my chair to something more comfortable. I was having trouble focusing on my work because my back hurt so much from my uncomfortable chair. My boss understood that I would be more productive if I had something higher quality to sit in.

About a week after looking through various desk chairs my brand new ergonomic chair arrived. I was very excited to sit in it to see how it felt. It had excellent padding and height adjustment so that I could be sure I was at the correct height for my desk. It was a leather office chair which I liked much better than my previous chair with. My new chair made a big difference in my mood and my comfort level at work. I didn’t dread going to work as much since I knew I had a nice, padded chair to sit in.

My friend who sits in the cubicle across from mine was envious of my new leather office chair. She also had an uncomfortable unpadded seat. She asked our boss if she could upgrade her chair to an ergonomic chair as well. My boss let her choose from different desk chairs until she found one she liked. Now she’s just as happy at work as I am.

I have always enjoyed my desk job. This however changed over the last month. I’ve been needing to get up and walk around, feeling increasingly restless.

I made several changes in my office hoping to make it more environmentally comfortable, like adjusting the temperature and adding houseplants. I also added a water dispenser thinking it would give me a reason to get up more often.

Then one day as I was sitting down in my desk chair, it broke and I fell on the floor. It was very irritating and I wasn’t happy at first about having to shop for a new chair. But it had to be done so I was on my way to a furniture store when I started to pass an office supply store. I went in to see what they had to offer.

I was so amazed at what I saw! They had every kind of office furniture anyone could ever need. They had a desk chair just like my old one and I started to grab it when I saw a swivel chair. In thought, I turned and noticed the executive office chair behind me. It was expensive but very nice. The swivel chair was nice too and I’d already decided I didn’t want the one like my old desk chair. I had to decide, swivel chair or executive office chair?

I said goodbye to the swivel chair and redecorated my office around my new executive office chair. To my surprise, no more restlessness!
